Touted as the most powerful automobile ever to be developed by
Mercedes-Benz's AMG sub-division, the
new SLS AMG machine electric Drive made its public presentation in final production specification at this week's
Paris motor vehicle Show.
The all-electric version of Mercedes’ supercar features four
electric motors positioned near each wheel, for a complete combined output of 740HP (750PS, 552kW) and a shocking most torque of one,000 Nm (737.5 lb-ft).
With that quite power beneath the hood or lets say, near the wheels, it’s no surprise that the
SLS AMG electric Drive accelerates from a standstill to one hundred km/h (62 mph) in precisely 3.9 seconds associate degreed super out at an electronically limited 250 km/h (155 mph).
“
Our new electric SLS symbolizes the dynamism of the
Mercedes-Benz brand in an exceedingly notably spectacular fashion”, said Dr. Dieter Zetsche, chief executive officer of applied scientist ag and Head of
Mercedes-Benz at the launch of the
all-electric SLS.
Adding to the spectacular fashion is that the €416,500 (US$538,500) price tag that the
electric SLS carries – which is quite double the sticker worth of the
heat engine SLS AMG GT machine.
